So far (yes we've only been here a week) this day was my favorite!!! I loved the hike, we were able to really explore Segovia outside of the city and the main touristy parts. I loved the views and seeing the Alcazar from below and also from above was awesome! Since then, I have re-visited the area twice and hope to make it my new running trail!

I was so tired after this hike but it was a ton of fun. We got to see some beautiful views and some interesting people. We even got to take a group picture with some Asian tourists who were SUPER excited to have us in the picture. I loved seeing outside the city and am looking forward to exploring more of the countryside!

I really enjoyed this walk because we were able to see a completely different side of Segovia. The trails we walked on were so close to the city but you feel like you're in the countryside. In one of the parks you also get a really cool view of the Alcázar, and sometimes can hear the meowing sounds of the royal peacocks in the forest.

I was really surprised by how fun this walk/hike was! We got to see everything from the coin mint to the Alcázar and it was really fun to be able to relax and play frisbee and play soccer with the native Spaniards!! Even though we complained as we did some of the uphill and stair climbing, the view was definitely worth it! I would for sure do it again! I loved that day!

I don't think I have ever walked so much in my life... When I got back I may have taken about a 3 hour long siesta. Because of this walk, I have gone back to some of the same places myself with a few friends to go on a nice run or even just to relax, while seeing the many breathtaking sites. I became a bit more familiar with the trail after a few friends and I were running along when we heard sheep... We continued to follow the sound and chased them down! It was a beautiful sight and the most breathtaking adventure with such adrenaline I have ever experienced, all along side of a mountain in Spain overlooking the Alcázar!

There is so much walking! People walk absolutely everywhere in Segovia! No wonder they can eat so much food and not be fat. Our hike that day was very long, but so beautiful! It really helped me to get a feel for parts of the city that are outside of my normal walking range, which is typically to school and the plaza. I love nature walks and now I feel more confident in venturing outside the city into the countryside to see some great views.

This day was my favorite so far! We walked so much but it was worth it. The grassy area near the base of the Alcázar was a very relaxing area but the walk there was even better. Its a wonderful side of town to spend a free afternoon. I definitely plan to go back before the trip is over!

The hike was exercise, a photo-op, and a great time to learn more about Segovia and the people I'll be spending most of my time with! This day I think I hit 16.3k steps according to my FitBit. In the US I struggle to get my 10k a day, but here, in Segovia, my average is about 14k steps. During our walk, we saw Segovia from outside of the city walls. After a long trek up a hill, we were rewarded with marvelous sights of the Alcazar. This day wore me out, but it was so much fun!

This was the most incredible hike I have ever taken. Although it was a lot of exercise, it was definitely worth every drop of sweat. It was nice to see so much open space during our hike and it really made me appreciate the natural beauty of Segovia. The view of the castle truly left me speechless because it is so grand in size and so well preserved. This hike helped me to understand how much respect the people in Segovia have for their land. I am so grateful to have been able to have this experience.

So far this was my favorite day and I don't think I've ever taken so many pictures in my life. We walked all around the city and just saw the coolest things like an exercise park, river, and then the alcazar which is the famous castle of Segovia which looks more like a Spanish hogwarts in my opinion. By the end of the hike, according to my fit bit, we walked the equivalence to about 40 flights of stairs and about 10,000 steps. It was crazy, but so worth it. I got the best pictures and just couldn't believe my eyes the views I was seeing. It looked like I was in a movie or a picture it was so unreal.

Still sore from the hike!!! Just kidding! I loved it. It was a very comforting experience because not only did I learn become more familiar with places in Segovia, but it also reminded me of home which was refreshing in this new place. I live in the mountains of North Carolina, where look very similar to Segovia. The hike was a great way to get outside and get exercise, and now, I know where to run each day!

I love the outdoors. The smell of nature, the sounds of animals and water movement, the freedom. I love all of it. This hike exposed us to what we really don't get to see much of in a progressive city like Raleigh. We realized just how much we missed with building after building being built constantly in our country. I'd never been on a hike until we hiked the slopes of outercity Segovia, but it was more than worth it. To see the Alcazar, the royal Peacock, a clear flowing river, a relaxing park area, and more was an amazing experience. Even taking pictures with some cool Asian tourists was awesome! The whole experience was peace and tranquility with a little bit of sweat and tomfoolery and it couldn't have been any better.
